Block Pallets

Palette Deutschland block pallets are specially designed to accommodate any unique automated equipment performance requirement. Pallet specifications involve among other things, the product, its configuration and packaging type. If you are over-packaging your product to compensate for non-uniform pallets, it is costing you money.

Block pallets are true 4-way entry pallets. Palette Deutschland uses blocks of solid wood, plywood, or plastic to support the unit load. Between the blocks and the deck boards are thin stringers, which form a mat with the deck board. The length of a block pallet is specified by the length of the stringer board and the width by the length of the deck boards. Block pallets can be designed with or without bottom deck boards, or a full-perimeter base.

Four-ways are comprised of a handful of basic elements: top deck boards, stringers or stringer boards and blocks, and bottom deck boards. In the case of stringer pallets, the stringers are notched to allow fork entry. These are known as partial four-way entry pallets. When constructed with blocks, the pallet is known as a true four-way entry pallet, and can be entered from either end and or both sides by both FLT as well as powered pallet jack. This allows the operator greater ease to manoeuvre within a distribution or storage situation than a two-way pallet, and provides for better utilisation in transit.
